HOW YOU CAN HELP!!!

The Delaware County Law Enforcement Explorer Program is a career learning program sponsored by the Learning for Life division of the Boy Scouts of America.  POST 800 is operated through the Cherokee Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and hosted by the Delaware County Sheriff's Office.
 
The Goals and objectives of the post are aimed to provide experience to the youth of Delaware and Ottawa counties in Oklahoma.  Our participants range in age of 15-18 and are from several different communities within our service area.
 
This program allows these young men and women the opportunity to see the role of the modern law enforcement officer in their community first hand.  They have the opportunity to complete training which will better prepare them for a career in the challenging field of Law Enforcement.

JOINING INFORMATION
 
Must complete applications for membership.  Must successfully pass a background investigation.  A conviction of a felony will exclude any applicant from membership.  There is a $7.00 per year registration fee to the Boy Scouts to cover insurance for post activities.

It is the mission of the Delaware County Law Enforcement Explorers to provide a program that will enable its members to make informed decisions regarding their adult life and to provide guideance for the leaders of tommorrow.
